Registration is now underway for the 2006-2007 basketball season for boys and girls ages 5 to 18. To pre-register online or download forms for mail-in registration, go to the basketball page.

Witmer Field Cleanup Day
In preparation for the spring softball and baseball seasons, the annual Witmer Field cleanup day was held Sunday, March 12, beginning at 9 a.m. All those interested in helping should show up at that time, preferably with a shovel or rake. Thank you for your support.
More than 60 members and guests of the Prospect Park Youth Club participated in the Fourth Annual Golf Outing on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Maple Ridge Golf Club, Maple Ridge, N.J. The tournament was held in a Scramble Format - Shot-Gun Start. Round-trip bus transportation was provided from Witmer Field. Participantes received a complimentary gift, tournament prizes, barbeque, and door prizes. Proceeds from the club benefit the Prospect Park Youth Club programs. Thanks to all of those who attened.
Baseball Family Fun Day
Baseball and softball players picked up their awards and photographs on Sunday, July 31.
Soccer Cleanup Day
Coaches, players and parents helped cleaun up the Hollow soccer fields on Sunday, July 24th. Thanks for all those who participated.
Fourth of July Activities
Players, coaches and parents participated in the annual Prospect Park Fourth of July parade. This year's parade started at Baltimore Avenue, and ended at Park Square. PPYC volunteers, led by Mike Farthing, helped run games at Park Square following the parade.

Photo Day Held May 21
Team and individual photos were taken on May 21 at the Hollow. Pictures will be handed out at Family Fun Day in July. Please contact your coach for more information.

Some 75 members of the Prospect Park Youth Club attended the Phillies game against the New York Mets on Wednesday, June 22. PPYC saw an exciting game, with the Phils winning 8-4. Thanks to Cheryl Huber for organizing the event.
Opening Day Parade and Home Run Derby
The annual Opening Day parade was held on Saturday, May 14. Softball and baseball players started from Park Square and marched down Lincoln Avenue to Witmer Field, where they all participated in the annual Home Run Derby.
Volunteers Needed for Youth Club Activities
Volunteers are needed to help run the programs of the Prospect Park Youth Club. Without community involvement, the club will not be able to serve the needs of our children. Meetings are held the first Sunday of each month at 7 p.m. at Witmer Field Clubhouse. Please come out and see how your talents can be put to use for the good of the community.
Late Registration for Baseball/Softball!
Registration is completed for the Spring 2005 Baseball/Softball season. However, there may still be some positions available on certain teams. If you need more info, please contact: ATHLETIC DIRECTOR/BASEBALL DIRECTOR: JEFF HARRIS 610-522-0908, or SOFTBALL DIRECTOR: DAVE WILSON 610-586-3887. Registration fee is $40 for one child, $75 for two, and $105 for three or more. A $25 (refundable) snack bar deposit will be required upon registration, which will be returned after completion of your snack bar duty.
PPYC Night at the Phantoms
On Friday, March 18, more than 60 club members attended the Phantoms hockey game.
Nick Saravo Memorial Award
Every year this award is given as a token of esteem appreciation for the
dedicated efforts and faithful devotion to the PPYC and the youth of the
community. This award was started back in 1969 as a way to honor the memory of
Nick Saravo - a devoted PPYC member - who passed away at an early age.
